There is an ever increasing and sometimes confusing array of commercially available equipment and other assistive technology devices offering the user increased independence in activities of daily living (ADL) and are now available from a very wide commercial source. Selecting the equipment most appropriate to meet the need is important in order for the selection to be cost effective as well as being beneficial in everyday use.
Areas of life where advice and support in appropriate selection may be valuable include:
