What a private referral may involve
A referral may focus on one question or require a joined-up view across the full day and night. Our work supports children and adults, with recommendations shaped around the person rather than a diagnosis, age group or predetermined product.

Assessment and practical recommendations
Assessment considers the person’s priorities, clinical and functional presentation, environments, current equipment and the people supporting them. Findings are explained clearly, and any recommendation must be clinically appropriate, realistic and proportionate.
Where equipment is being explored, supported trials can help compare options before a final specification. We remain independent of the sales process and do not assume that new equipment is always required.
Review and ongoing support
Posture, function, routines and equipment needs can change. Review may be planned after a handover or requested later when comfort, health, growth, work, care arrangements or the environment changes.
